The fight to out-do Lady Gaga

Fashion in the music industry continues to get extreme. What do you think of this new trend?

News: Come on already and make it official

More and more reports are surfacing that Marc Jacobs will indeed head over to Dior as creative director. As our hearts broke to see one of the greatest leave the post, we couldn't think of a better replacement for John Galliano. Along with the many reports of meetings held between Dior and Jacobs, there is now the announcement from Louis Vuitton of a retrospective exhibit set to take place in September. Hmmm are they preparing to say goodbye to the man that made Louis Vuitton the brand it is today?
All we can say is hurry up and make the announcement we cant wait for this to be official!

It's all in the details

Our favorite styling tip for the gents right now is to add a fantastic pair of shoes. Oxfords, loafers, boat shoes you name it we love it. Take it to a whole new level by pairing them with an awesome pair of socks and some cuffed up skinnies.

MSGM- Our Italian Love Affair

Our newest love affair is with the Italian label MSGM, and its nothing like what you would expect from the fashion capital. Young, and edgy, MSGM is for that 30 something hipster who just oozes a contemporary lifestyle. The line is full of great prints and graphics with a really fresh modern feel, and features both women's and men's collections. Careful of the price tag though, don't forget it is made in Italy after all and that never comes cheap. Here is a sneak peak at their fall 2012 collections

Runway Review: spring 2012 menswear

The reviews are in and men are getting a big dose of colour for spring 2012. Fall's trend of white and red carry over and they get paired with every colour in the rainbow. We can't get over how much we love the bright coloured loafers from band of outsiders. The vibe for spring is very retro rockabily meets westside story. Everything felt very 50s and 60s with this hollywood backlot in the cigar era feel. Here are some of the looks we can't wait for from the runway shows.

How to: Printed Pants

It's like a flashback to the 90s, printed pants have somehow snuck to the top of the trend list. They started on the runway, but have finally infiltrated the streets and can be seen or bought anywhere now. As fun as they are, they are not the easiest to pull off. To keep them from looking like pajama pants, add some layers to your tops, and dont forget to accessorize. What do you think of printed pants: are they here to stay?

Not many people can look cool while sporting a pompadour but George Lewis jr some how does it effortlessly. So as we hunt for the best dandies out there, he goes straight to the top of our list.

The skinny on coloured denim

Our favourite trend for fall is coloured denim, but it can be tricky to pull it off. Make sure to pick a colour that suites your skin tone and goes with the rest of your fall wardrobe. As much as we love these mustard jeans from urban outfitters, we would probably look like a zombie in them. It's also important to pair them properly. If your bottoms are bright try to keep your top neutral. A neutral white/black stripe always works great with brights. But most of all keep it fun and simple, add some cute accessories and show everyone fall isnt always about beige, grey and black!!

Calling all hipsters

You must check out our favorite new men's brand: Farah. A brand that holds true cult status, Farah started in the 1920s, but it became the mod brand it is today in the UK during the 1970s. Click the link below to check out their full s/s 2011 vintage collection

New Obsession: tan oxfords

camel, taupe, beige, tan, or sand, you name it we love it. Dont miss out on these updated oxfords available at threadsense.com

Style Maven: Florence Welch

Frontgirl for Florence and the Machine's- Florence Welch, gains a top spot on our style mavens list.  We love her 60's inspired garb with a touch of stevie knicks and her signature flaming red hair. Whether on stage or off her indie style is flawless.  Ranging from vintage inspired to designer and often featuring lace, sheers and flounces she has created the perfect romantic renessaince, and that is why we love Florence Welch!
